Welcome Xmarks

Sunday, April 12, 2009 11:40 No Comments

Happy Easter!
This morning I had a good gift: Xmarks.
Let me explain: I’ve been using the Firefox add-on Foxmarks (this website will disappear soon…) since its very beginning, to have my Firefox bookmarks synchronised in different Operative Systems, and to be able to use them also on other computers, logging on the website.
This morning I discovered that Forxmarks has changed to Xmarks, because they created support for all the major internet browsers, i.e. Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer. Finally I can have the same bookmarks also on Safari!

about three mobile and Skype

Wednesday, December 24, 2008 14:06 2 Comments

I have a three mobile monthly contract in the UK. The 15£ pm contract with the Skypephone S2. I thought it was great in the UK, but now I think it is even better because, being in Italy (for Xmas holidays) and using the 3 ITA network, I can call UK mobiles using my monthly credit! Very good job.

The “mutation” happening

Tuesday, December 16, 2008 12:37 No Comments

Yesteray I watched a movie, titled “the Happening”. Basically it is about some kind of strange natural toxin that makes humans go crazy and kill themselves. I would add with pleasure, too.

I know at first sight it could seem impossible, but let’s think for a moment that the human body is implemented as an automative electrical machine…the spirit of survival and not self-killing would be represented by one or a set of variables, so that a mutation of only a “gene”, i.e. the changing of the value from 0 to 1 or the contrary, would lead to the same result seen in the movie.

Same consideration if the values are analogical instead of digital…

Facebook communication

Thursday, September 25, 2008 15:12 No Comments

I’ve been here in Glasgow for three weeks now and I’ve used Facebook so much.
It’s replacing a lot of web tools which I used a lot in the past: MSN Messenger for live messaging, Flickr for pictures, youTube for videos and Gmail for mails to friends.
It’s simply astonishing, I am speechless…

Surfing the net I found this incredible theme, I downloaded it, I tried it on ktulu.it, then I decided it was worth it!
So I spent some hours of my Sunday afternoon modding it to fit my tastes (the post loop, design stuffs, plugins, ads…) and here it is!
Please tell me whether you like it or not…I like it very much!

Shoe Lacing Methods

Wednesday, August 27, 2008 9:46 No Comments

How many times you bought a new pair of shoes and had to struggle to feed the lace through the eyelets in a good enough way to use them!?
Now, thanks to this niche site, you can easily learn up to 34 different ways to do the job. I would never have thought there were so many ways to do it…
The site is really well done and easy. It teaches the lacing methods in details and with images, and lists the features of each method.
But if you think these are the only ways, don’t worry because you can invent brand new methods. As a matter of fact, as written in the site:

Whilst mathematics tells us that there are more than 2 Trillion Methods of feeding a lace through the six pairs of eyelets on an average shoe…

Here is a working nodes.dat for aMule AdunanzA (FastWeb) that I succesfully tested on my Mac . I think it can work as well on Linux and for eMule AdunanzA on Windows:

http://update.adunanza.net/amule/adu_nodes.dat

If the previous one is not working, here are other nodes.dat that you can try and test:

Sexy (porn) Flickr

Monday, July 21, 2008 20:00 No Comments

I have always seen Flickr as a great site to put images and pictures. I have a pro account and I mostly put there personal pictures. I use it to find some images too.
But I have never thought about searching porn and erotic pictures on Flickr, I have never seen it this way.
Untill yesterday, when I found this link to the album of okie997.
I am a little bit astonished, not because I saw porny pictures, but because I found them on Flickr…
